Cr\u00e9er une image sans appareil photo et sans produits chimiques, c\u2019est ce que propose l\u2019anthotype.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il s\u2019agit d\u2019un proc\u00e9d\u00e9 photographique ancien, mis au point en 1842 par John Herschel. Il permet de r\u00e9aliser des images \u00e0 partir de pigments naturels extraits de plantes, de fleurs ou d\u2019\u00e9pices, ce qui en fait une pratique \u00e0 la fois simple, \u00e9cologique et exp\u00e9rimentale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le principe repose sur la r\u00e9action des pigments v\u00e9g\u00e9taux \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re. Une surface de papier est enduite de pigment naturel, puis expos\u00e9e au soleil. Avec le temps, la lumi\u00e8re d\u00e9colore le pigment. Les zones prot\u00e9g\u00e9es par des objets restent plus fonc\u00e9es, tandis que les parties expos\u00e9es s\u2019\u00e9claircissent, faisant appara\u00eetre l\u2019image par contraste. Le temps d\u2019exposition est long et demande de la patience : plusieurs heures, parfois plusieurs jours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce proc\u00e9d\u00e9 peut \u00eatre rapproch\u00e9 du cyanotype<\/a>, une autre technique photographique ancienne. Le cyanotype utilise des produits chimiques \u00e0 base de sels de fer et permet d\u2019obtenir une image bleue, stable dans le temps apr\u00e8s un rin\u00e7age \u00e0 l\u2019eau. L\u2019anthotype, au contraire, ne n\u00e9cessite ni r\u00e9v\u00e9lateur ni fixateur, mais les images obtenues sont fragiles et \u00e9voluent avec la lumi\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour cette exp\u00e9rimentation, j\u2019ai choisi d\u2019utiliser du curcuma comme pigment. J\u2019en ai m\u00e9lang\u00e9 une cuill\u00e8re \u00e0 caf\u00e9 de poudre avec cinq cuill\u00e8res d\u2019alcool. Puis j\u2019ai filtr\u00e9 le m\u00e9lange \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019une feuille d\u2019essuie-tout\u00a0:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

J\u2019ai \u00e9tal\u00e9 cette peinture au curcuma sur des petits carr\u00e9s de papier \u00e0 aquarelle (300 g\/m\u00b2).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Une fois le support sec, j\u2019ai dispos\u00e9 des feuilles de ginkgo sur la surface avant de l\u2019exposer au soleil :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En hiver, le temps d\u2019exposition est long et demande de la patience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peu \u00e0 peu, le pigment s\u2019est n\u00e9anmoins d\u00e9color\u00e9, laissant appara\u00eetre la silhouette des feuilles en r\u00e9serve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ensuite, j\u2019ai dissous deux cuill\u00e8res \u00e0 caf\u00e9 de bicarbonate de soude dans de l\u2019eau ti\u00e8de et vers\u00e9 cette solution sur les carr\u00e9s de papier.Enfin, je les ai rinc\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019eau claire puis laiss\u00e9 s\u00e9cher, en compagnie d\u2019\u00c9toile, toujours\u00a0!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour les transformer en cartes buissonni\u00e8res, j\u2019ai choisi un beau papier bouffant terracotta\u00a0:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chaque image est unique et demeure vivante, appel\u00e9e \u00e0 s\u2019estomper avec le temps si on l\u2019expose \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re et donc d\u2019autant plus pr\u00e9cieuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
